The Show Must Go On!

We have been actively pursuing ways to present theater to our patrons in a safe and meaningful way. We are pleased to announce a series of events that we are planning to present virtually Fall of 2020 that we are calling “The Show Must Go On” series.

This series will start with three events and will be presented through the end of the year.

Talent Showcase

Our first event featured a video showcase that shares the name of the series, The Show Must Go On. We received so many submissions from so many talented individuals in our theatre community that we created two episodes that are available on both our YouTube channel and Facebook page. Watch both episodes below!

The Show Must Go On: Episode 1

The Show Must Go On: Episode 2

[Title of Show] Musical
Performances: November 5-8, 2020

Next up, in early November, we performed our first full musical during this time of social distancing, [Title of Show], streamed live from the Community Players stage. Learn more about this show here.

"Home for the Holidays"

And finally, we were so very excited to bring back an old tradition for CPT. December of 2020, for our third event in the "The Show Must Go On" series, we presented a special called “Home for the Holidays”! This was a great way to get into the Holiday spirit, and similar to the showcase in August, featured the talents of many of our community members far and wide. Unfortunately, we were unable to live-stream this event from the CPT stage as originally hoped, but again received a lot of interest and video submissions for both music and readings—making this pre-recorded holiday compilation a joy to watch! You can see this showcase below, or on our Facebook and YouTube profiles.
