The Show Must Go On!
We have been actively pursuing ways to present theater to our patrons in a safe and meaningful way. We are pleased to announce a series of events that we are planning to present virtually this Fall that we are calling “The Show Must Go On” series.
This series will start with three events and will be presented through the end of the year.
Our first event will be a video showcase that shares the name of the series, The Show Must Go On. We received so many submissions from so many talented individuals in our theatre community that we created two episodes that are available on both our YouTube channel and Facebook page. Watch both episodes below!
[Title of Show] Musical
Performances: November 5-8, 2020
Next up, and just announced! In early November, we will be performing our first full musical during this time of social distancing, [Title of Show], streamed live from the Community Players stage. Learn more about this show here.
"Home for the Holidays"
And finally, we are very excited to bring back an old tradition for CPT. This December, for our third event, we will be presenting a special called “Home for the Holidays”! This will be a great way to get into the Holiday spirit and, not that we need one, an excuse to decorate our stage again. This will be similar to the showcase in August in that we will want to present the talents of as many of our community as we can. Depending on how well [Title of Show] goes, we hope Home for the Holidays can be a live-streamed event from the CPT stage, but if it is still not safe for all involved, or too much of a technical challenge, it will be pre-recorded. That is a decision that will be made later this year.
Keep an eye on our social media and website, www.communityplayers.org, for information on how to audition for all of these events.
