Historian’s Corner

On December 13, 14, and 15, the inaugural edition of “The Pantagraph’s Holiday Spectacular” was produced by Community Players at The Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (formerly know as Scottish Rite Temple). Players’ shows had performed at The Scottish Rite Temple from 1945 to 1961. This spectacular had a true community feel as over twelve different community groups of choirs and musicians and individuals that totaled more than 300 people and several animals made possible this holiday show for the Bloomington-Normal area. This inaugural production was the only time that Players’ as a group would be a part of “The Pantagraph’s Holiday Spectacular.”
