Synopsis

“See How They Run” is set in the idyllic village of Merton-cum-Middlewick in 1940s England. The village inhabitants are preparing themselves for the imminent threat of Nazi invasion. Resident nosy-parker and spinster Miss Skillon becomes convinced that her beloved vicar’s actress wife is having an affair and attempts to expose her. Add an escaped German prisoner of war, a handsome actor, the visiting Bishop of Lax, and some meddling neighbors; and hilarious confusion and mayhem result.

Author: Phillip King

Historian’s Corner

A revival of Philip King’s farce “See How They Run” was the second production of the season. This was the third time that Players had performed this English Farce. As with the 1974 and 1988 productions, this current production presented the fast-paced farce to much laughter and applause. In this nine person cast, there were three newcomers: Mollie Lovell, Ceasar M. Perez and Melinda Oelze.
