Historian’s Corner

The summer Theatre For Young People production was a non-musical version of J.M. Barrie’s “Peter Pan.” The show was held in workshop setting. Students worked in acting classes and helped build the set. Several adults would come in and rehearse with the students taking the part of adults in the play. This show saw the directorial debut of June Eubanks. The show was sponsored in part by a grant from the McLean County Arts Center an agency of the Illinois Arts Council, and the Town of Normal through the Harmon Arts Grant Program. The show featured a cast of over 40 participates. An equal number worked the technical side of the production.
