Curtain Calls (September 1995)
The theme for the 1995-1996 season was “Broadway Old & New And Tigger Too.” The season opened with the contemporary musical “Little Shop of Horrors.” The show offered some technical challenges to create the illusion of a person-eating plant. The “plant” was a series of puppets which had to be rented from a Chicago theatre supply house for $1,000. Additionally, the final “Audrey II” required two people, Dave Schick and Stacie Jenkins, to operate so it could “eat” the cast.
