Synopsis

This hit of the 1931-1932 Broadway season was a Cinderella play that told the story of a plain and underfed but very efficient stenographer, who first gets a position as a secretary to a great Viennese bank president and finally, through a series of events, becomes his wife. This story of how Susie Sachs becomes the Baroness of Ullrich was a captivating and refreshing comedy.

Author: Ladislaus Fodor
