Based on the 1968 film starring Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder and later adapted into a 2005 film starring Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, this comedy-musical by Mel Brooks focuses on two theatrical producers who scheme to get rich by overselling interests in a Broadway flop.  The winner of a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards in 2001, this hysterical, high-energy show contains memorable numbers like, “If You’ve Got it, Flaunt it,” and “Springtime for Hitler.”

Audition Notice

March 14-16, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the theater, 201 Robinhood Lane, Bloomington.

Needed are 30 men and women age 17 and up.

Those auditioning will be asked to sing a prepared, upbeat song from their own sheet music (an accompanist will be provided, no a capella or prerecorded music), learn a group dance sequence (bring tap shoes if you have them), & read from a script.  Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to complete audition forms.
