The lead in our production as socialite Tracy Lord is Kayla Jo Pulliam. Ms. Pulliam gives a solidly smooth performance, and has many marvelous moments. Supporting Pulliam as members of the Lord clan are Cathy Sutliff as matriarch Margaret Lord, Laura Phillips as Tracy’s delightfully rambunctious younger sister, Dinah, Andrew Werner as her brother Sandy, Gary Stunk as fun-loving Uncle Willie and Nathan Bottorff as Tracy’s alienated, world-wise father, Seth.

The men in Tracy’s life include her fiancé George Kittredge, played by Brandon Smith, her ex-husband Dexter Haven, played by Drew German and an interesting newcomer, Destiny Magazine reporter Macauley (Mike) Conner, played by Brian Artman. Destiny Magazine photographer Liz Imbrie is played by Hannah Kerns. Rounding out the cast are Jason Strunk as Thomas, Julie Strunk as Elsie, Lizzy Selzer as May, Gaye Lee Ross as Edna and Allen Popowski as Mac and also Dr. Parsons.

[frame_left]philly5[/frame_left]The Philadelphia Story is directed by Tricia Stiller with assistance from Tyler McWhorter. It is being produced and stage-managed by Judy Stroh. Opal Virtue in doing the costume design and Tina Salamone is doing the lighting design with Eli Mundy doing sound. Dorothy Mundy and Carol Plotkin are in charge of properties and Wendi Fleming will be house manager.

The set, cleverly designed and beautifully built by Jeremy Stiller and Joel Neal, has one large revolving piece and another rolling piece to enable the stage to transform from the Lord mansion interior to the exterior.

The pay-what-you-can Preview Performance is Thursday, September 4th, with regular performances September 5-7 and September 11-14. (Remember, non-musicals run two weekends only!) The Philadelphia Story is not intended for very young people, but contains no objectionable language or threatening situations. —John Lieder
